Once again the powers that be try to squeeze the worker.It's funny how things work out the suits are attempting to crush the union at Avalon. Same tactics as Foley fear lies and misinformation of course as a resident I'm not supposed to know about the fight since it might upset me,I'm beyond upset more like pissed off these things have a direct effect on me and it's my right to be informed.
Do they really think I believe they are worried about my fragile mental state please give me a break it's the penny wise pound foolish tactics that almost killed me you get what you pay for in this world. They just don't get it replacing good dedicated people with  incompetents is really not a very smart move no matter what business your in. Somehow I don't think I'll get the same quality of care from the lowest bidder. The staff is fighting set up a picket line with a billboard truck trying to get some copies of pictures taken without getting anyone in trouble. I keep the picture from Newsday on my wall just to let them know whose side I'm on. They seem to think because it's private they can do as they wish,nothing could be further from the truth private facilities are even more tightly controlled than any other, that's part of the reason they treat me with kid gloves they know that scary fed I had here is just itching to come back and crucify them she really didn't like them. And it's common knowledge she left me her personal cell number and told me to call her if they try to kill me again. So that's about it once again it's the haves against the have nots it's not right but that's the way it is and has always been.   

Stop Helping Me

I don't know about most people but I really believe if it ain't broke don't fix it and don't treat me like a moron. I have a so called social worker whose purpose I've yet to figure out.Did exactly the opposite of my instructions and now expects me to fix his mess why would I do his job,if he had left everything alone as asked there would be no problem. Once again laziness rears it's ugly face a minimum of effort is all that's needed.Do your job or I will get nasty.  

Hanging In

It's been a while since my last post,no particular reason just get side tracked. I'm now in my fourth room at Avalon the last move was to help out a fellow Foley refugee and it worked out well it's a pretty nice room. Little things like a very large bathroom my own closet,window seat and I control the A.C. nice unit too even has a dehumidify setting very good for my breathing. No body knows what got me so sick but I'm almost back to my normal self might get some shoes on this week the swelling is almost down. Eileen visits at least once a week comes on the Scat bus she also agreed to be my health care proxy just in case between her and the living will I think I'm pretty well covered against any craziness a D.N.R. seems a little extreme I'm in no rush right now and the meds keep me reasonably comfortable. I get along well with all my caregivers,if you treat people correctly they seem to respond in kind. No politics this time around,what can you say when you have spoiled children at the helm.

Study me this Batman

So it finally comes to pass the crooks get there way, apparently they are going to waste some money on a study to see if the John J.Foley Facility can become part of the Jail complex. I  really    wonder what they are doing. I would imagine it would be fairly costly to convert the building  Since all the rooms have built in Oxygen Air and Suction that would have to go right away 
as well as securing the place for the new guests. I get the feeling this is another sideways maneuver for cover so the place can be sold to a private provider, since that has always been the plan 
since day one. What a waste of resources and money. Mr. B I have to admit you are actually slicker than snot and very good at being a politician remarkable.

Looking Up

So I seem to be doing better,mainly due to getting a really good nurse. Her name is Debby and she is the real nurse for this unit. The first thing she plans on doing is going over my medical history instead of just working blind. I can tell I will get good care since she cares about her work,she also knows how hard we fought for Foley. Even knows about Lyme probably more than most Doctors. Just got a good feeling about the woman a most pleasant person for a change.

Feds Next

As the situation continues to worsen here I have been forced to file a complaint with the board of health over what seems to be almost a deliberate attempt to either sicken me or kill me. If they want me gone no problem I'll walk right out the door I'm not invisible and resent being treated like it. These so called C.NAs are not only incompetent and lazy but also abusive to residents some are down right cruel this is not acceptable or legal and I will pursue it till it's corrected or the place is closed down. There is a law called The Americans With Disabilities Act on the books perhaps it's time to bring that into play.                                                                                                                        

No More Mister Nice Guy

I'm done with the nice guy crap gets you nowhere now I'm mad. Pair of Bozos

So anybody that actually knows me knows I really am kind of noncompliant and don't take orders well. Don't think you know me when you really haven't got a clue. It seems my control freak neighbor thinks he can push me around like the simpleton whiner. He has this delusion he is part of the staff and is supposed to run the show. Well not when it comes to my care. I'm really getting sick of his stupidity and him making broad statements about my life another burned out crackhead gave himself a stroke with that crap. I never did the crud and actually have a skill. Think that makes him jealous since anyone that talks to me knows I'm a whole lot better educated and much more travelled and experienced been all over this land. I don't think he's been off Long Island maybe never even Hempstead. All talk no life skills. His sister pays his bills and the whiner's mother pays his they both need to grow a set. Punks.

All good things come to an end

So much for our week of peace,the whining baby has returned from his stay in the hospital even the EMTs were glad to see him gone.What a wimp how anybody can be so abrasive is beyond my comprehension but I need to worry about me and not let the little jerk stress me out. I'm getting better and that's what I'm here for. 

Raza Troubles

All of a sudden my file sharing app is not coming up with any search results who knows what the IT people have done now got a really hot signal but they seem to have closed all the ports to there router maybe a different client or find an available port and dump that DHCP go static just have to find the address sort of a pain in the butt nothing new done it before. Since I have every tool in the arsenal I'll get it. Zeropaid,Shields Up and my master list of ports as well as my bootable crack CD it shouldn't be too bad.

Causing Trouble

As usual I just can't let certain types of behavior go it's Sunday morning and after the abuse my room mate was subjected to last night I just had to not only verify but also write out a statement about that beast of a C.N.A. for the Supervisors so it's not just his word against her. She instigated and provoked the whole ugly scene for absolutely no reason at all. Besides refusing to give her name when asked. She claimed to be the charge nurse when we requested to speak to one, pretty fast promotion and I hate being ignored answer when spoken to it's just common courtesy above all don't lie why  she would deliberately spray an aerosol directly at some one with my respiratory condition and then close the door when asked to please leave it open is simply mean and evil the woman seems to take pleasure in pushing weaker people around and has the wrong idea on who's in charge. The most important individuals in this facility are the residents the staff is here to help and care for us those are the facts we have a great deal of rights as disabled citizens. I have a lot of very good references from the Foley battle and I'm capable of making her life a little rough. Big ugly and nasty doesn't frighten me at all. Hopefully she can get some help or a more suitable job what that might be I have no Idea helping the less fortunate isn't it.

Samsonite Ape

Once again the fat nasty troll showed up stayed away from me but got real nasty with my room mate what a truly horrible individual just have to stay alert this evening.My day nurse is very good the supervisor was in here and the gorilla can't come in this room ever again. Just another nasty agency Scab, with a chip on her shoulder. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

4 A.M. Wednesday

So now it's 4AM and I'm still messing around with all my toys at least the  WiFi works with my cosmic antenna getting better a little every day got a good set of nurses and my social worker is actually trying to keep the morons from killing me. Made it another  day been eating,breathings better getting stronger might get out of here see Eileen got a start on Face Book. Between downloading music and booting DVDs I'm keeping busy it's all the stuff I'm good at fine tuning and Tweaking got the laptop running smooth and fast. Not a bad day at all.

As a chronically ill and disabled individual I was appalled by the tactics used by the Politicians to justify the closing of a state of The art facility in order to achieve the political wishes of a few at the expense of the poorest and most defenseless of our society, the Sick and disabled. The Foley facility was not only a unique and caring place with a truly dedicated and competent staff it's state of the art and Belonged to the people of Suffolk County serving their needs for more than a century. As a former property owner and taxpayer on Shelter Island I'm more than familiar with deals for favors and not the public good. The plague of Lyme Disease comes right to mind, the company that made Daminix offered to treat the entire island free of charge, The offer was turned down since even mentioning Tick born illness is not allowed by the Realtors very bad for bussiness, no one Wants to spend 2+mill on a home and find out they need a level 4-bio suit to sit in their yard. After watching the facility be deliberately mismanaged and torpedoed with fantasy math to fulfill somebody’s agenda is it any Wonder the quality of care declines as dedicated help are replaced with far less skilled and experienced individuals. The scare tactics and outright lies used by these so-called legislatures go past unethical to the illegal. Why we have money for jails and felons but not the ill and disabled is beyond wrong it's criminal.

Monday Monday

Finally got some sleep after they took that whinning punk of a room mate out to the hospital last night. How anybody could be in pain with all the Narcotics he takes is beyond me, help me help me help me like the old movie The Fly don't think I'll see that Troll of a so called L.P.N any time soon got the superviser on her ugly case this morning. This place is like a Fellini flick no one reads or thinks they watch Springer game shows and all waste money on Lotto like Eileen says Sharp as a marble. The marching Morons all swimming in the shalow end of the gene pool! 

Weekend Fears

Since this is all new to me and it's the weekend please put up with my slow learning curve. I did maintain Websites this is different I'll get it. But I have to be carefull and make sure the help give me the correct meds I don't need a repeat of two weeks ago almost got me. Spent ten days in bed barely able to make it to the toilet. Another money saving tactic and the Resident suffers.
